In this map group the primary patterns that can be seen are that precipitation has generally increased in Iowa gradually from 2012-2015. Secondly, the majority of this precipitation is concentrated in the North East and South West of Iowa. A look at meteorological data and other information on the national and continental climate might help to explain why these locations are receiving more precipitation. A future study could look into whether or not these locations and increases in precipitation are applicable only to this time period or if this is a part of a larger pattern. Compare these patterns with those of the other map groups in this lab. More general observations about the meaning of all of these datasets together can be found on the Lab 3 page.
